Well we'll do our part.  We're bringing $2200.00 in $2.00 bills to Springfield all stamped with: http://www.horseshoepitching.com  Will see if Dick wants to buy them to hand out as score-keeping money?  Hope the rest of you ask your banks to save some up for you.  Let's inundate Springfield with $2.00 to let them know the horseshoe pitchers were in town!

Thank you Casey!!  I am planning on making it known to the local media that the $2.00 bills are from pitchers.  The more the better!!

Casey,

Will you be bringing your horseshoepitching.com stamp to Springfield, so the rest of us can stamp OUR 2-dollar bills?

Sure, I'll pack it right now. Just stop by the NHPF booth to borrow it.

Not to rain on anybody's parade here. It's a great idea that doesn't cost much and is easy to do.  I haven't received a two dollar bill in change in the last five years. Why not mark all the dollars that we get our hands on. If we're going to do this then why limit it to two dollar bills.

Grin That's the idea - $2 bills are so rare, when one shows up it is cause for conversation.

"Gee" the sales girl said, "I haven't seen a $2 bill since I was in grade school."  "That's right" answered Pete the Pitcher.   Wink are trying to let everyone know that horseshoe pitching is alive and well and that there are 1,330 of us in town the next two weeks.  When you see a $2 bill, think horseshoe pitching."

If everyone who brings $2 bills to town would explain it in those terms, the merchants will "get it".

SEE YOU IN SPRINGFIELD!!!  Wink

Does anyone know if the two dollar bills made an impact.  I spent $100 worth never received any in change. I was there for the first week only.
