Great point Vicki.  Perhaps Tina or others could notify the hotels about the scheduling and maybe they could start their breakfast service at 5am.

  If the Clarion would start breakfast at  5 a.m.  this would solve the problem for the 7am shiift, for those of us staying in the hotel.      Otherwise, the nearby Perkins Family Restaurant is listed as staying open 24 hrs. a day.     There is also a Burger King nearby, but is opens at 6 am, which doesn't help the 7 am shift.    Most hotels will accomodate if asked to do so.

Unless you need to pitch on a full stomach, i would say something light would hold you off until 10 o'clock, and then you can strap on a feed sack at a local restaurant after you pitched the best games of your life!!!!!!!!  i cannot wait......20 days and counting!!!

OK, Eye have confirmed with the Heartland that the breakfast service will begin @ 5:30 this should work for those needing to be at the ice arena by 6:00 am, I heard from the Clarion, normally it begins @ 6, but I asked if they would start 30 min. early too, have not heard back from them yet...I can't believe someone from Iowa has not chimed in here, after all you guys are the host, gee I remember last year Bill Marvin was all over this forum...Cheers and Safe Traveling..

OK, for all of you staying at the Clarion, they typically begin they're breakfast service at 6 am, but just for us they will open the area up at 5:30 for those pitchers who need to be at the courts by 6am. It won't be the full hot menu but should be ample to get you going, the normal chef prepared meal will resume at 6am.. Safe Traveling Everyone...
