I had an utoh moment during this mornings practice. As I'm sighting down that horseshoe and taking aim at the stake it occurred to me that I had to work at not doing that while competitively shooting a shotgun. Good shotgun shooting is more a matter of shooting the body, hands, eyes, and target, and not the sights so much. I completely quit looking at the shoe, and took my concentration to the hands, stance, and stake, and saw an immediate improvement on alignment. My next four shoes equalled 8 points, and I'd take that all day long as a newbie.

I'm betting there are a lot of good pitchers who never really look at their shoe when setting up for the pitch. How do you do it.
