Well Gregg, you prompted me to put a new post here. Thanks.
The Imperial Maxx for whatever reason has not been doing to well lately. It was going to be dropped last year for lack of interest. But a few of us in Ohio convinced Bobby White to keep it. Well it is in danger again, and it looks like Bobby will make one more batch later this year.
There are two VERY GOOD pitchers here in Ohio that pitch it and one not so good, but still loves the shoe just the same. I wonder how many more pitchers out the have been thinking of trying this shoe? Please, now is the time to come forward and show some interest to Bobby before its gone forever.
One of the three here, has pitched the show ever since his junior years and is still very effective with it today, see if you can guess who.

Yeah I know who.
Well, I have tried a lot of shoes...A LOT, and I have three pair of MAXX myself and they are a fine turn shoe. Another player in my league has two or three pair of MAXX and I know a few more in my Asscoaition that pitch these, so they do work well and are pretty popular here in this niche.

Thanks Fliptoon, I just know there are others who pitch the Maxx out there and surely some here in Ohio that I don't know about. I just hope that folks who have considered this fine shoe will give it a chance, and call Bobby with the interest.
You are right it is a nice shoe for the turn pitcher, the fact that the metal is soft saves ringers too.

My two cents on this is that I love the Imperial Maxx - it is now called the Renegade, I think, but turns better for me than any other. It is more like the first original Imperial which is not like the current original Imperial. Confusing! Imperial changed its design and I was left out for a few years but now the Maxx/Renegade is working. Now if I could only get my body to work right!

Thanks Debby, but you're post was worth more than two cents. You hit the nail on the head, it is a well balanced, good turning shoe. And for me to get a shoe to turn twice, a shoe has to be well balanced. If I could just get my mine to work right. This thread has 190 views, so far, so it appears there is a lot of interest. Bobby, I hope you are reading these posts. And thanks again for giving this amazing shoe one more chance.

This is the BEST shoe I have ever pitched. Over the last 28 years I have used a version of the Imerial Maxx shoe. Here's some history on it: I started pitching it in 1986 when it was called the Imperial Cast shoe. I used it from 1986 until it was discontinued in the mid 1990's. I had stock piled several pairs and used them until I ran out. Then when I ran out I started using regular Imperials. The Imperial Brand was then sold and the Imperial Cast shoe was brought back by the new owner. The shoe was renamed the Imperial Maxx. I started using the Imperial Maxx immediately after it was brought back. Then the Imperial Brand was sold again and the Imperial Maxx was renamed the Renagade Maxx. I currently have 2 pairs left. Not looking forward to changing shoes.
This shoe is perfect for a 1 1/4 turn or 1 3/4 turn. I've pitched both and had some success with them. The shoe turns itself, very little work is required to make it turn. The shoe has awesome measuring points, great hooks, and can take a pounding. This shoe is durable!!!! Built to last!!!
