Stingers

I now pitch Stingers. I was pitching Six Shooters with a 1 1/4 turn right handed. I switched to a 3/4 and improved slightly but struggled to release consistently. I noticed that the top ranked pitcher in out league as well as the director had consistent smooth releases using stingers. I bought a pair of stingers and saw a huge improvement during practice. Stingers have great balance, a small ringer breaker and the best hooks I have seen. They are a very fast turning shoe for me. I still struggle a little mentally during my matches as I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself. Overall I think the Stingers are a great shoe. Also the are very durable. I throw these shoes hundreds of times per day and they are holding up very well. In my opinion you would be hard pressed to find a better 3/4 shoe.
I would love to hear from others who pitch these shoes.

I bought my Imperial Stingers about 7 years ago or more when I was just getting into pitching regularly. I used them as a "flip" shoe all the way up to about 2 months ago when I switched to a 1 1/4 "turn". I have recently just bought a couple pairs of Alan Francis Bulls-Eye shoes for my new style because they just seem to fit me better. With that said the Stingers are actually a great "flip" shoe and "turn" shoe plus they are tough as nails. Great ringer breaker, HUGE hooks and as universal as a shoe gets. My normal partner for doubles throws these shoes with a "double flip" and even though I now throw a "turn", I would have no problem using this shoe in our matches. It is really that good and universal for all types of pitchers. You can't go wrong with this shoe and it has so many features that you should see nothing but improvement in your ringer %.
