Player: Dale Carson of Baltimore, Maryland, pitched horseshoes
for fifty years and was inducted to the NHPA in the year of his golden wedding
anniversary. He won the
Pennsylvania State Championship in 1936.
Dale was Maryland State Champion 24 times. At the 1969 World Tournament, Dale qualified
for the Men’s Championship Class with 535 points and finished 25th
on a 71.8 ringer percentage. That
was his first World Tournament, at age 65.
