Player: Kevin Cone an Iowa farmer and auctioneer was born May 24, 1962, and began pitching horseshoes at age 7. An outstanding World Tournament record followed, which includes 2^nd place finishes in 1986 and 1993 and becoming World Champion in 1992 with a 29-2 record while averaging 82.9%. Kevin is an excellent exhibition pitcher and has put on countless demonstration s of his skills. He even took a trip to Japan to take part in a two-day clinic with forty to 50,000 in attendance each day. His occupation required a temporary retired from horseshoe in 1996. He won 13 Iowa State Championships.
