Player: Jim Knisley’s horseshoe pitching career began in
1958 in German, Ohio at the age of 15.
Jim joined the NHPA in 1961 and by 1968 was qualifying for the
Men’s Championship Class. He
qualified 27 times while earning 596 wins and a career average of 78.78%
ringers. He was the
Men’s World Champion three times: 1984 pitching 75.8%, 1988 pitching
79.9%, and 1990 pitching82.6% ringers.
Jim had 15 other top ten finishes in World competition.
