Player: Danny Kuchcinski, Erie, Pennsylvania, started pitching
at the age of ten. He won his first
World title at the age of 18 in 1967 in Fargo, North Dakota, being the youngest
winner since 1933. He won world
championships again in 1969 and 1970.
He averaged over 84% ringers in each of his 3 championships, while
losing only 2 games and winning 103 games.
He had a streak of 66 consecutive ringers.
Danny married
Women’s World Champion Sue Gillespie and together had a traveling
exhibition that toured all the U.S. and Canada. Their act was witnessed by millions of
viewers on television, including the Johnny Carson Show and even a show in
Japan.
