Organizer: Wally was born in Edgar Nebraska and at age of 18 moved to California. He joined the California Association and the NHPA in 1957. He was elected to NHPA 2^nd Vice President in 1970, the same year he was recipient of the Stokes Memorial Award. He was elected NHPA President in 1973 and was re-elected three times for a total of eight years. Many changes and improvements are credited to Wally’s administration, including the management of Game Related Sales and the conducting of great World Tournaments. Wally Shipley passed away December 17, 2006.
